The Two Arm Kettlebell Swing

[wp_ad_camp_1]

I’ve been working with kettlebells for the past few weeks now and it has totally changed the way I train at the gym.  My workouts are far more intense and more importantly, I’ve incorporated functional movements which have really improved my core development.   The movement I’ve focused most of my kettlebell work on is the two arm kettlebell swing.  There are many other kettlebell movements, but this single movement has really taken my lifts to new heights.    I’ve been searching for a good instructional video demonstrating this basic movement, and Chronicles of Strength has put together a great video to share.  Enjoy.

[information]The kettlebell swing is the foundation of kettlebell training. If your swing is not good, then you have no business progressing to cleans, snatches, etc. The swing develops incredible explosiveness, and is one of the most effective fat burning exercises around.[/information]

This is the same movement but the start position is a little different.  I prefer this start position, but the first video explains the posture and movement a bit better.  Both videos are great though.

[information]The swing is the foundation of effective Russian kettlebell training. It teaches the hip thrust, compressed breathing, rooting, and wedging. The two arm swing enhances muscular endurance. Phil Scarito of DV8Fitness.com shows you the proper way to swing a kettlebell.[/information]
